Sultan of Suave

"There is no sound more feminine than a woman in a taffeta dress."
-Oscar de la Renta

I first came across Oscar de la Renta's designs on one of the advertisements in Vogue magazine. They were tulle gowns of his 2012 Fall/Winter collection. The drape and colours looked so different from the usual couture gowns. It sucked me right in and I've been hooked ever since.
He was the couture king and his name always reminds me of his feminine, frothy and elegant gowns. His designs were such that they could make any woman look beautiful. He will always be missed on the red carpet as there's no one who could do gowns like Oscar did.
I've compiled few of my favourite designs from his collections to honour and celebrate this legendary designer.
Rest in peace, Oscar de la Renta.
